Rajasthan Government Cancels UG, PG Exams In All State Universities
Rajasthan Government has decided not to conduct undergraduate and postgraduate examinations this year in all state universities.
The Rajasthan government has decided not to conduct undergraduate and postgraduate examinations in state universities this year. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that in view of the coronavirus pandemic, the state government has decided to cancel all university exams this year. The decision was taken after a high-level meeting at his residence.
The decision will apply to all universities, colleges and technical educational institutions in the state.
"The state government has decided not to conduct examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in all universities, colleges and technical educational institutions in the state in view of the coronavirus pandemic," Mr Gehlot tweeted in Hindi.

निवास पर एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक में यह निर्णय लिया गया।
All students will be promoted without exams and they will be scored according to the Education Ministry's guidelines which will be issued in the next few days, he added
"All students will be promoted to the next year without examinations. For determination of the marks of the students being promoted, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, will take appropriate decision after studying the guidelines to be issued in the next few days," Mr Gehlot tweeted.

The decision comes only a few days after Rajasthan University, Jaipur announced that UG and PG exams would be held from July 15 to August 18, 2020.
Classes in all universities, colleges and schools were suspended in March as coronavirus cases surged in the country, prompting the government to impose to a nationwide lockdown.
Rajasthan reported six COVID-19 deaths and 224 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, according to an official report, taking the state's total to 19,756. 480 people had tested positive in the state yesterday in its highest single-day spike.
Rajasthan Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma has said that the state has raised its COVID-19 testing capacity to 41,000 samples per day, which will be increased to 50,000 soon. COVID-19 tests have been started in 20 districts and will soon be expanded to the remaining 13 districts of the state.
