Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has announced the final dates for JEE Advanced 2021. The examination will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur on July 3, 2021. In addition to this, 75 per cent eligibility criteria have also been scrapped. The government has allowed the qualifying candidates of JEE Main 2020 who were unable to appear for the second stage of the examination due to the COVID-19 pandemic to directly appear for JEE Advanced 2021. As a result, the number of candidates for the final stage of the exam is going to increase.
This year the engineering examination candidates will get four attempts to qualify for the JEE Main 2021 examination with the first session taking place from February 23 to 26. At the end of the fourth session in May JEE Main 2021 merit list will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

JEE Advanced Exam Centres 2021
The ities are likely to conduct the examination at 222 JEE Advanced exam cities. Candidates will be required to enter their preferred JEE Advanced 2021 exam centres while filling the application form. Candidates can refer to the following table to check the zones of JEE Advanced exam centres.
JEE Advanced AAT Application Form 2021
Students who qualify JEE Advanced 2021 and seek admission in architecture courses in IITs have to appear for Architecture Aptitude Test. The application form of JEE Advanced AAT will be released in online mode by the admission ities. It is to be noted that only those candidates who qualify JEE Advanced 2021 will be able to fill the application form.
How to fill JEE Advanced Application Form 2021
- Registration – Candidates have to use their JEE Main 2021 roll number and password to log in.
- Uploading of Documents - The candidates have to scan the required documents and upload it as per the specifications mentioned by the ities.
- Payment – Registration fee has to be paid by the candidates online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (cash using SBI option).
- Submission and Print Out of Confirmation Page – The candidates have to submit the application form and print out the confirmation page for further reference.
JEE Advanced AAT Eligibility Criteria 2021
There are certain conditions that every aspirant has to meet to attempt JEE Advanced AAT 2021. Firstly, the candidates should have attempted and qualified JEE Advanced 2021 examination. Currently, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee provide admissions into B.Arch courses, so the candidates would have to secure the required cut-off to have higher chances of admission.
JEE Advanced 2021 Eligibility Criteria
IIT Admissions: The candidates should have never taken admission in an IIT irrespective of whether they continued the programme or not or just accepted the seat by reporting at the centre. The candidates who have earlier joined any IIT but had subsequently cancelled their admission will also not be termed eligible for JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced 2021 Eligibility Criteria
As per the JEE Advanced 2021 eligibility criteria, candidates should have qualified JEE Main examination and must be in top 2,50,000 candidates in order of merit. The cut-off for admissions into IITs should also be met by the candidates.
JEE Advanced 2021 Cut-Off
JEE Advanced 2021 cut-off is the minimum marks required by a candidate to be eligible for admission in the participating institutes. Candidates securing equal or more marks than the JEE Advanced cut-off 2021 will be declared qualified and they will be included in the common rank list.
JEE Advanced 2021 Expected Date
It was believed that, as per the previous year's trends of JEE Advanced exam date, the entrance exam will be held in the last week of May tentatively. However, with the announcement of the JEE Main exam being held in four sessions, it is likely that the examination will be not be conducted in the month of May. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will clear the air and announce the JEE Advanced dates for this academic session at 6 pm today.

JEE Advanced Qualifying Examination: A candidate should have passed the Class 12 examination in 2020 or those who are appearing for the exam in 2021 will also be eligible for JEE Advanced.

Age Limit For JEE Advanced 2021: General category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1996. Relaxation of five years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.
The JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be held in two shifts. Once the exam is concluded, the ities will release the JEE Advanced answer key 2021 and response sheet on its official website. The result of JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be released in an online mode.

Why is JEE Advanced 2021 important?
JEE Advanced 2021 is held for admissions to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s, and Dual Degree programs (entry at the Class 12 level) in all 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) of the country. According to the previous year's notification, only those students who have qualified JEE Main 2021 and are ranked in the top 250000 candidates are eligible for JEE Advanced 2021.

Another opportunity for last year's candidates
Candidates who qualified for JEE Advanced 2020 but remain absent will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced 2021 directly, without having to take the JEE Main exam.
"To ensure equal opportunity to all, the JAB has also decided that these candidates will not have to qualify JEE (Main) 2021 and will be allowed to directly appear in JEE (Advanced) 2021 on the basis of their successful registration to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2020. This relaxation of existing eligibility criteria will be in addition to proportionate relaxation of age bar," JAB had said.
Who will conduct JEE Advanced 2021?
IIT Kharagpur, which is one of the seven zonal IITs, will conduct JEE Advanced 2021 under the guidance of the Joint examination board (JAB).
What is 75% marks criteria in JEE Advanced
The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE Advanced is that the candidate must have passed in the Class 12 final exam or equivalent qualifying exam with at least 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC, ST, and PwD) or being in the top 20 percentiles of the successful candidates in their respective board examinations.
This criteria was dropped in 2020 as many board had to cancel exams and declare results based on alternative assessment methods.

Students across the nation have been demanding the postponement of examination. While some were of the opinion to defer the examination till May or June, other cited issues relating to online classes.
